Non-means-tested Mainland Experience Scheme for Post-secondary Students

To encourage more post-secondary students,  in Hong Kong to pursue exchange activities in the Mainland, the Education Bureau introduced Non-means-tested Mainland Experience Scheme for Post-secondary Students.

Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance Fund- Student Interflow Scheme

The Student Interflow Scheme, launched by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance with funding from the University Grant Committee, provides subsistence for university students in Hong Kong to participate in short-term internships or learning programmes in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

Scholarships for Short-term Study Abroad Programmes

Financial assistance awards are available to full-time undergraduate students participating in in-person short-term study abroad programmes that last for at least 2 weeks. 

Subsidy on Exchange for Post-secondary Students (SSE)

Established in 2015, the Subsidy on Exchange for Post-secondary Students offered by Education Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to support local students in financial need, enabling them to participate in study abroad programmes

China 10,000 Student Exchange Programme

The Ministry of Education has set up a dedicated fund to provide financial supports to university staff and students to visit the Mainland.  It aims to promote and enhance the collaborations with Mainland universities through student exchange, joint research, experiential learning and social service programmes.
