About the Programme

Sun Yat-sen University will organize this programme (Chinese Name: 粵港澳高校聯盟2021年夏日學院 - 中山大學粵港澳大灣區經濟發展研習營 ) scheduled for July 10 - 20, 2021. 


Students can choose to join this programme in-person in Guangdong or online.


Please refer to the programme introduction and application form for more information. The programme information is subject to the final decisions of the host institution.

Eligibility

  1. All HKU undergraduate and postgraduate (full-time) students are welcome to apply.

  2. Students should be able to write and read in Chinese, and communicate in Putonghua as the programme activities will be conducted exclusively in Putonghua.

For students to join this programme in-person:

  1. Only non-final year students who are currently located in Mainland China are welcome to apply.

Requirement

Participants should guarantee FULL PARTICIPATION in the programme, and are required to submit the following documents to Mainland Affairs Office within 10 days upon the completion of the programme: 

  • Experience sharing (300 words in both English and Chinese) 

  • Survey

  • 5 photographs taken during the participation of the programme  (applicable to f2f programme only)

Programme Fee

As the programme is sponsored by HKU “China 10,000 Exchange Programme”, the programme fee is covered by the host institution. 


For students would like to join this programme in-person:

  1. Programme fee, local accommodation and local transportation are covered and to be provided by the host institution.

  2. Participants are responsible for the transportation to and from the programme destination(s)  (i.e. round-trip flight or train between your hometown and destination(s)) as well as other expenses, including but not limited to travel insurance, souvenirs and personal expenses.

  3. Participants are strongly recommended to purchase travel insurance according to personal needs, especially for those who wish to extend their stay in the destination(s). For the university coverage, please refer to the policy for undergraduates and postgraduates provided by Finance and Enterprise Office.

Financial Assistance

Subsidies are provided for HKU students to pursue exchange activities in Mainland China. For eligibility and application, please click here for further details.

Application

  1. Make sure you have read through the details and met all of the programme requirements. 

  2. Complete HKU online registration and upload all the required documents by the application deadline as stated on the website. (Please note that no information/document(s) uploaded can be changed once the application is submitted.) 

  3. Students will generally receive an invitation of interview/ result of application within 10 working days after the application deadline.

  4. Nominated students will be asked to confirm their offers and  sign the letter of acceptance by the deadline stated in the offer email. 

  5. Host institution will reiview the nomination list and release offer to successful nominated students in due course. Further instructions on the purchase of flight/train ticket will be announced by then. Please DO NOT proceed with any transportation arrangement at this stage.

Remarks

  1. For credit-bearing programmes, please consult and seek prior approval from your faculty regarding the credit transfer application or related issues. The faculty has the final authority to decide the number of courses and credits taken at the host university to be transferred back to HKU towards your degree.
