Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance Fund – Student Interflow Scheme
About the Scheme
The Student Interflow Scheme was launched by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance (GHMUA) with funding support from University Grant Committee (UGC) to provide subsistence for university students in Hong Kong to take part in short-term internship or learning programmes to be carried out in the Greater Bay Area.
Eligibility
Applicants should meet all of the following criteria:

You are a LOCAL UNDERGRADUATE student of HKU at the time of application and throughout the duration of the interflow activity;

The interflow activity must be carried out in GREATER BAY AREA and consists of substantive teaching and learning elements; and
-
The interflow activity should be organized and/or endorsed by HKU Faculty/Department with programme commencement date between September 1, 2023 to June 30, 2025.
*The Greater Bay Area consists of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Huizhou, Zhaoqing, Hong Kong and Macao.
Funding Scope

The maximum amount of subsidy is calculated by the round-trip cross-border transportation fee, subject to a maximum funding cap at HK$500 per activity. Local transportation within Hong Kong or the Greater Bay Area is not covered. (e.g. Local taxi fee to High-Speed Rail Station cannot be reimbursed.)

Applicants can submit multiple subsidies applications for interflow activities to be carried out during September 1, 2023 to June 30, 2025.

Students who have previously received assistance from other scholarships or support schemes wholly or partly funded by the HKSAR Government, e.g. Pilot Mainland Experience Scheme, are also eligible to apply.

Application is on a voluntary basis.

Subsistence of the Scheme is provided on a reimbursement basis to successful applicants.
Application for Reimbursement

Students should complete the online application form and upload the following required documents within one month after completion of the programme for reimbursement:

UID copy if you are final year student

Programme itinerary (if required)
-
Proof of completion of the programme with your name visible on the document (e.g. certificate of completion, transcript, email from host/ faculty confirming your completion) (if required)

Receipt of round-trip cross-border transportation fee

Sharing (300 words in English and 300 words in Chinese)

Activity photos (at least 5 photos)​

Remarks

Applications will be processed on a rolling and first-come-first-served basis all year round.

Incomplete applications will NOT be considered.
