My experience learning at Fudan Winter School has been unique. My interest in psychology prompted me to enroll in the fascinating course, Psychology and Life, which not only made my vacation more enjoyable but also helped open my eyes. I received my education from a professor with a wealth of expertise in conducting psychological research, and she exposed me to a wealth of psychological information to create a strong foundation. I took a lot away from this. In addition, Professor Gao even invited a Tsinghua University PhD to speak to us as a guest lecturer regarding the psychology of obsessive-compulsive disorder. The professor's sense of humor, the caliber of his instruction, and how actively he engaged with students' questions and encouraged independent thought left a lasting impression on me.
Despite the fact that the class was held via Zoom, the professor made an effort to engage us in discussion by playing engaging videos and images. In class, we could also complete questionnaires and take engaging psychometric tests. These are all crucial factors in inspiring students to learn.
The quiz served as a helpful tool for me to evaluate what I had learned in class and what I had missed. We also had to collaborate in groups to complete assignments for the course. The Fudan University Winter School gave us the chance to meet new people and see the value of teamwork when we encountered students we did not know.
One of my favorite memories from my time in college is participating in the winter school at Fudan University. I intend to visit Shanghai's Fudan University as soon as I can.
