Programme: Cultural Study Camp in Beijing

This time, I participated in the Cultural Study Camp in Beijing (2022/23) organized by Beijing Language and Culture University, which was particularly unforgettable. During this event, I not only deeply understood the breadth and depth of Chinese culture but also experienced the charm of campus life at mainland universities, and formed deep friendships with a group of like-minded friends.
First of all, this event gave me a deeper understanding of Chinese culture. We visited many cultural monuments, such as the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Great Wall, and more. We not only understood their historical origins but also experienced the unique charm of Chinese culture. Additionally, we experienced traditional Chinese culture, such as calligraphy, mortise and tenon techniques, Whisked Tea of the Song Dynasty, and more, which gave me a deeper understanding of the breadth and depth of Chinese culture.
Secondly, I also benefited a lot from the campus life of mainland universities during the event. We experienced campus life as college students at BLCU and also learned about its historical background and academic atmosphere. In college, I felt the curiosity and yearning for the future among students and realized the importance of my attitude and role in my studies. During this time, I gained a deeper understanding of the campus life of mainland universities.
Finally, meeting a group of like-minded friends was also one of the gains of this event. We studied together, discussed topics together, visited destinations together, and enjoyed cuisines together. These experiences brought our friendships closer and made me feel the importance of mutual understanding and support.
All in all, this cultural study course has benefited me a lot, through my understanding of Chinese culture, the experience of campus life in mainland universities, and the experience of getting along with like-minded friends. I have gained a deeper understanding of myself and a clearer plan for the future. I believe that this activity will have a positive impact on my future studies and life, and I look forward to continuing to participate in related activities and experiencing a variety of learning activities.
